An intent crowd......

 On September 17th, the PAAFAA hosted Changes to The City of Philadelphia Fire Alarm Inspection Form, Presented by John J Higgins, Director, Fire Code Enforcement, L and I-Fire Unit.  The meeting was attended by about 50 people that had an opportunity to gather insight to L and I's Fire Alarm Inspection process.  Mr. Higgins discussed common problems with submissions, how to avoid certain pitfalls as well as steps the department takes once the inspection form is submitted.  It was an interactive presentation with lots of questions, comments and participation from the crowd.  From this meeting the PA-AFAA has agreed to assemble a committee which will submit suggestions, to L and I, for changes to the Fire Alarm Inspection Certification form.  Suggestion from the committee will be posted here, as they become available. 

UPDATE:

Cost for lunch and meeting:   Starting with the September meeting the cost of lunch will be included in the dues structure.  We will still need a commitment for meeting attendance to ensure we have enough food to go around.  Conversely, we don't want to purchase too much food!

These are the regularly scheduled meeting dates.  However, circumstances may dictate that a date be changed.  A meeting notice will be emailed/faxed about 2-3 weeks prior to each meeting to confirm the actual date as well as the program topic and to request a confirmation of attendance.
